BATCH SIZE All full batches of beer are approximately 48 litres. This is equivalent to 6 cases (24 bottles) of beer. All 1/2 batches of beer are approximately 24 litres. This is equivalent to 3 cases (24 bottles) of beer.
All full batches are $99 CDN tax included. All 1/2 batches are $55 CDN tax included. Please check our SPECIALS page for additional savings!
It is a two week process before your beer is ready. You do not have to bottle your beer after 2 weeks if it is not convenient, you can leave the beer in our cooler for up to 3-4 weeks until you are ready to bottle.
You can bottle your beer in almost any style bottle. Bring in your own glass bottles, plastic bottles or purchase reusable plastic 500ml bottles from us. We have caps and cappers to fit almost every style bottle and you never have to pay extra for caps. If you are going to save bottles for your beer please be sure to rinse them out right away as mold will grow quickly in your bottles. We do have KEGS for you to put your beer in for parties and special events. We can supply all the necessary equipment for dispensing your keg beer for your special event. There is a $4.99 charge for pump rental and no charge for deposit on the kegs, however we do require a credit card number as a security deposit on all equipment taken out.
The beer that you make at Jake’s is all natural and is not pasteurized. You must keep it cool, Ideally in a fridge, but in a cool basement the beer will still last for approximately one month.
Jake’s has hundreds of different beer recipes. Listed below are our most popular varieties, if you don’t see something you like we would be more than happy to tailor a recipe to your taste.

1. MEXICAN LAGER - This is the beer that made us famous. All the great taste of your favourite Mexican beer without the skunky taste. This light bodied pale lager comes out at 4.6% ABV. Great with a lime on a hot summers day.
2. JAKE’S LAGER - Our best tasting 5% ABV lager beer. If you like to drink Canadian classic lagers you’ll love this one. It reflects the styles of Moosehead and Canadian. It finishes at 5% and is smooth and easy to drink.
3. JAKE’S SUPER LAGER - If you like your beer with a little more kick you’ll enjoy the super lager. All the same great flavour of the regular but with more body and flavour. Finishes at 6% ABV.
4. AUSSIE LAGER - This pale coloured light/medium bodied Australian style beer goes down real easy. If you like to drink Fosters you will love this beer. Finishes at 5% ABV.
5. SCOTTISH LAGER- A great golden coloured Scottish lager style beer. If you like the style of Tennants this is the beer for you. 5% ABV.
6. SCOTTISH HIGH OCTANE- Are you brave enough? Great body and flavour. Our Scottish lager with that special touch of High Octane that will put hair on your chest. Finishes at 6.5% ABV.
7. CREAM ALE - If you love a classic Canadian cream ale, try this. 5% ABV.
8. AMERICAN LIGHT -Our classic light lager. Easy to drink and smooth. 4% ABV.
9.JAKE’S WICKED ALE- Full of body, full of flavour and finishes with a nice creamy head. This could be our best Ale ever. 5% ABV.
10. My Good Draft - This is similar to everyone’s favourite draft beer MGD. At 5% ABV it is a real smooth and easy to drink draught.
11. CANADIAN HIGH TEST - Higher alcohol content of a strong beer with a Canadian twist. Smooth and flavourful, robust and bold. Not for the weak-kneed. 6% ABV.
12. CANADIAN PILSNER - Slightly more hop flavour than your domestic lagers with a smooth finish. Full of flavour. 5% ABV.
13. CANADIAN GOLDEN ALE - Beautiful pale coloured beer with slightly more hop flavour than typical Canadian beers. An exceptional beer for the ale enthusiast.
14. CANADIAN WHEAT ALE- Canadian style wheat beer with a slight bitterness. Pale yellow colour with its own unique full-bodied flavour made possible by the high quality wheat malt used in our recipe. A surprisingly refreshing ale.
15. JAPANESE LAGER -This is a golden coloured Japanese lager. If you like to drink Sapporo you love this 5% ABV lager.
16. OAKIE-DOKIE - This is a light to medium bodied Canadian style lager. If you like Kokanee you will enjoy this 5% ABV beer.
17. CARIBBEAN LAGER - Easy to drink, refreshing Caribbean style lager reflects the style of Red Stripe. 5% ABV
18. CHINESE PILSNER - This is a golden coloured medium bodied pilsner style beer. If you enjoy Tsing Tao you will like this to. 5% ABV.
19. JAKE'S STELLA- Classic Belgium lager with a great hop flavour. Similar to Stella Artois 5% ABV.
20. DUTCH LAGER-This globally popular beer reflects the styles of Grolsch and Heineken. It's a crisp golden lager with a smooth spicy hoppiness. Crisp distinct and delicious.
21. MUNICH LAGER - A German favourite, similar taste to Becks, 4.5% ABV.
22. DORTMUNDER - This German classic has great body and flavour, similar to DAB 5.5% ABV.
23. GERMAN LAGER - Lager with lots of body and a strong hop flavour. 5.5% ABV.
24. DANISH PILSNER - Golden coloured European pilsner. Similar to Tuborg 5% ABV.
25. IRISH LAGER - Golden coloured beer 5% ABV, similar flavour to Harp. We can even make it green if you like. 26. CZECH PILSNER - Great body, flavour and hoppiness of a classic European pilsner. 5.5% ABV.
27. RED WINGS RED - Similar colour and flavour to Rickard's Red on tap. 5% ABV.
28. NAPOLEONS' DARK - Medium body, mild flavour. Similar to Waterloo Dark. 5% ABV.
29. AL’S ALE - Amber/copper coloured medium bodied pale ale. If you like to drink Bass ale, you’ll love this one. 5% ABV.
30. WILLARD’S WHISTLEWETTER - Medium bodied pale ale. Finishes with a nice head. If you like Double Diamond, try this. 5%ABV.
31. SHEARERS SPECIAL - You can taste a hint of Chocolate in this delicious dark ale. Similar to Newcastle Brown Ale. 5% ABV.
32. JAKES CANADIAN DARK - Nice beer with a smooth finish and medium body. If you like Upper Canada Dark, give this one a whirl. 5% ABV.
33. PUB DRAUGHT - Light bodied pub style beer. Similar colour and flavour to Boddingtons. 4% ABV.
34. BLACK PORTER - Dark and heavy. Lots of body and flavour. 6.5% ABV.
35. BAVARIAN BOCK - Delicious dark German style bock. A great beer for fall and winter. 6.5% ABV.
36. JAKES BITTER - A copper/amber coloured medium bodied specialty beer. Similar to Conners Bitter. 5% ABV.
37. OATMEAL STOUT - Taste the difference oatmeal cooked into your stout makes. Finishes with a nice body and head. 5% ABV.
38. SCOTTISH BITTER - An amber coloured full bodied Scottish ale. 6% ABV.
39. McRED - Smooth taste and flavour make this one of our easiest beers to drink. Taste the difference that Brown Sugar makes in this recipe. 5% ABV.
40. INDIA PALE ALE - This amber coloured traditional IPA is full of body and flavour. This is no Nova Scotia India pale ale! 6% ABV.
41. COFFEE STOUT - Dark and flavourful, this stout contains 1lb of dark roast coffee beans. Part of a complete breakfast. 5% ABV.
SUMMER
1. CANADIAN BLONDE - A deliciously refreshing Canadian wheat style beer. Serve with a lemon on a hot summer's day!
